Today's picture was taken at the entrance of the Beijing Opera house.
It's been 1o years since I've last visited Beijing and it's nothing like it remember it. A lot has changed, of course the country's ancient history still prevails within the capital city, yet what amazes me most are the recently completed modern structures that are now prevalent around the city. The Beijing Opera house is just a small example of this, while its exterior is whimsical, its interior is astonishing. There is also a huge sense of urgency and anticipation amongst the people here in the run up to the Olympic games.
